With the famous question "Where do we come from, where are we going, where are we now?", the issue of the origin and of the meaning of life stands as one of those so-called existential questions reputed to remain unanswered.
But what do we call "life"?

For science, life began on Earth -or on some planet in the universe- and its emergence in the realm of the real results a priori only from a happy coincidence of circumstances.
For most religions and great traditions, life is eternal, and the question of its beginning and its meaning does not arise. Love ultimately answers all questions, yet reason remains unsatisfied.
So does this mean that true knowledge of life and its meaning will forever remain a matter of belief?

Yet a path of reconciliation between faith and reason could exist:
the case where, fortunately, life -and love!- has always stemmed from a single physical principle, a creative "first cause" that the current era is capable of apprehending and integrating.
